Yinlong ESS Products entered Provincial Recommendation Catalog

Earlier on, two Yinlong energy-saving products are selected into the 2020 Catalog of Recommended Energy-Saving Technology and Equipment (Product) in Guangdong Province in recognition of their excellent energy-saving and environmental effect and application of technological innovation. These two products are “High Energy Density Type Container Energy Storage System” and “LTO Power Type Efficient Energy Storage System”.1.png

Showcasing Yinlong ESS Strengths

To implement the national call for energy conservation, accelerate the promotion and application of energy-saving technology and equipment in the province, and improve the energy utilization efficiency of the whole society, the Energy Bureau of Guangdong Province and Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province compiled and updated the Catalog of Recommended Energy-Saving Technology and Equipment (Product) in Guangdong Province. The technology or equipment (product) to be listed should meet several criterions, i.e., they should yield significant energy-saving and decarbonising effect and have wide application in all or various industries. Also, they should be economical, have the potential to be promoted widely, and are conducive to sustainable economical and social development. 

Not only does the energy Density Type Container ESS developed by Yinlong Energy avoid the problem of carbon emission, but it also increases the percentage of new energy in power generation and reduces the percentage of power generated by burning coal, effectively reducing carbon emission. This ESS can optimize the utilization of unstable energy resources such as wind and photovoltaic power by storing them and converting them into stable electricity supply that can be incorporated into the grid. It can also store electricity during trough hours when the electricity price is lower and provide electricity during peak hours when the price is high, thus reducing electricity cost. This system can switch from converting unstable energy to peak load shifting flexibly to ensure a stable grid operation and realize economical energy consumption.2.png

ESS Application in Multiple Fields

Yinlong power type efficient ESS has a wide range of advantages including high power performance, millisecond response time, high safety, wide working temperature and long service life. It also has the characteristics of fast response and flexible adjustment, which makes it suitable for application in power grid frequency modulation and new energy consumption optimization.  In assisting grid frequency modulation, it can drastically improve the performance index of unit frequency modulation and prolong the service life of the generator units. Also, it can significantly increase the modulation capacity and operation flexibility of the power system, thus improving the quality of electricity and reducing cost. The ESS system can further improve the safety and reliability of grid operation.

Currently, the Yinlong LTO power type efficient ESS is being constructed in Guangdong, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia and Sichuan Province. In the Hengqin project in Zhuhai, Guangdong, Yinlong LTO power type efficient ESS is now being used, which significantly reduced investment and operation cost through a series of functions including power grid frequency modulation, balancing load fluctuation and black-start. It can lower coal consumption and increase static benefits. Having fast response, flexible operation, the LTO power type efficient ESS can fulfill frequency modulation requirement of power grid and generate dynamic benefits, providing green energy solution that is safe, efficient, economical, environmental, clean and low carbon.

Yinlong ESS in Advancing Energy Saving and Consumption Reduction Initiative

In June 2020, Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission issued the Guangdong Provincial Work Plan for “Double Control” of Energy Consumption in 2020, aiming to further reduce energy consumption per unit of GDP, rationally control total energy consumption, and promote the replacement of old source of energy with new ones. According to the plan, industrial and energy structures will be optimized, the development of emerging industries will be accelerated, and strategic emerging industries such as next-generation information technology, new energy, energy conservation and environmental protection, and digital economy will be supported. As a rapidly developing new energy enterprise, Yinlong Energy actively implements the “double control” policy of energy consumption in Guangdong Province to promote national energy saving and consumption reduction.5.jpg

With excellent LTO battery technology as the foundation, together with advanced battery management system (BMS) and thermal management system, Yinlong Energy developed a series of ESS products with effective configuration, comprehensive functions, and energy-saving and environmental protection features. These products range from battery modules, power PACK, and container type ESS, communication li-ion battery ESS, to traction engine ESS, etc., covering kW to MW level products. They feature high safety, fast response, long service life and other advantages, and can provide efficient solutions for the grid frequency modulation, industrial peak shaving, communication base stations or other scenarios.6.png

To keep up with the momentum, Yinlong energy will continue to increase investment in research and development, accelerate the process towards technological breakthrough and contribute intelligence and power for scientific and green utilization of national energy resources. Yinlong is determined to write a new chapter for ESS industry in the coming year.
